Join us on the second Thursday of each month at 7pm to tackle fascinating memoirs, tales of true crime, nature, medicine and more.
If you LOVE reading nonfiction books, join us! The Tenacious Dewey D Book Club will read a different nonfiction book each month, covering a wide variety of the Dewey Decimals—now you get our name?!
This month's title, Life, on the Line: A Chef's Story of Chasing Greatness, Facing Death, and Redefining the Way We Eat by Grant Achatz, will prove that the truth is more 'inspiring' than fiction.
Achatz, "one of America's great chefs" ("Vogue"), shares how his drive to cook immaculate food won him international renown--and fueled his miraculous triumph over tongue cancer. "Life, on the Line" is also a book about survival, about nurturing creativity, and about profound friendship.
Copies of the print book will be available at the Circulation Desk.
