Grapes & Growlers: A Night at the Library 2024, sponsored by the Lake Villa District Library Foundation, is Friday, February 9, 7-9pm. $10 cover charge at the door. You must be 21+ to attend.

Antioch Fine Wine and Liquors will be pouring free samples of wine and local breweries---Harbor Brewing Co. and 9th Hour Brewing --- will be on hand with a variety of craft beers. Full glasses of select wine and beer will be available for a $5 per glass donation.

Free refreshments provided by Antioch Pizza Lindenhurst and Nothing Bundt Cakes Gurnee will also be available.

Two-time Grammy-nominated bluesman John Primer and the Real Deal Blues Band will be performing two sets during the event. 

Proceeds from Grapes & Growlers will benefit the library’s summer reading program. The annual initiative focuses on inspiring reading during time off from school and making reading a daily habit.  It is, by far, LVDL’s most well-attended program; nearly 4000 children and adults participated in the 2023 program.

First established in 1949, Lake Villa District Library serves Lake Villa Township and those who live within the township’s boundaries; including the communities of Lake Villa, Lindenhurst, portions of Round Lake Beach, Round Lake Heights and Antioch. The population served is approximately 40,000.
